Planning Blog 1

Participants: 

Paola V D'orazio as the main charter, Diego Rey as our drug dealer, Bruce Evans as the ambulance paramedic, Alejandra D'orazio as Paola's mom, and Alexa Delgado as our doctor/ nurse.

Location:

The story is going to take place inside a house mostly so, we decided to shoot the film in Paola's house. We want to also shoot at school because we are thankful enough to have an ambulance and stretcher within our EMR classes with Mr. Evans. But a lot of it will be in Paola's house. But there are two cars since which we are still figuring out.

Health and Safety:

Our movie does portray drug use, yet all of it will be fake and props. In case of an emergency, there will be two cars outside. We all hang out normally, so we know we're all covid safe and would see each other either way. To stay extra safe with covid we're going to sanitize constantly and make sure we're only near each other when need be. 

Schedule:

December 

December 1- 6 Alexa will be out of town due to a debate competition. 

Mainly all December is being used for planning and getting making sure we are actually being realistic before we start to set in stone filming in January.

January

On the 1st-7th of January, we are mainly getting our props and setting up our sets.

January 15th and the 17th we will be filming and seeing if all of this planning actually holds true

Backup Plans:

We're going to be filming a lot in one day. So once we have finished filming for the first day, we're going to start editing immediately and see what else needs to be added. If there is anything extra that we need we'll have maybe 1 or 2 follow-up days to make sure we have everything in order.

Props:

We will be needing a lot of sugar pills and harmless products as subsidies for drugs. A lot of our medication and IVs and such will be used properly within our teacher's presents. But other than that we will be using household items such as medicine bottles and cups and such miscellaneous items.

Costumes:

Most of our costumes will be thrifted or already at hand to decrease waste and fast fashion. We will be getting scrubs from the thrift and other things as such.

The CCR midterm

  The CCR midterm 1.        How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?     Our  product challenges   conventions in  many different ways . We also are representing a wide social class within our video. Essentially the group  that  representing is teenage girls  and also  women in general. Essentially our targeted audience is all and everyone. We are shining a light on toxic relationships. Henceforth we see such acts all throughout our video. We also see highlights from fake friends and such. Genre Research: Thriller & Drama

  Thriller Common lighting in this genre is backlighting, under lighting, and lowkey lighting. This helps to create a dark and mysterious atmosphere and helps to conceal the character's identity, which adds to that suspense.  Some common camera angles are close-ups shots, which exemplify the emotions of the characters or frames an object, to be at attention. Point of view shots allow the viewers to feel emotionally engaged because they feel as though they are the character.  Tracking is a common camera movement that follows the character's action but at the same doesn't spoil the movie.  For this genre costumes usually worn by the antagonist are darker.
