Story Board

Making our storyboard was very enjoyable.  Both Paola and I don't know how to draw so it was funny to see each other's storyboard sheets. I took more of the directive on the storyboard in this case because I did the storyboard for the last one.

  • On the first storyboard sheet, you see Paola screaming and crying in agony on a stretcher getting loaded onto the ambulance. The paramedic one bends over her shoulder and attempts to comfort her. Paramedic 2 scribbles in his notepad quickly. Paola screams for help while twisting around in pain. Paramedic takes vile and fills needled with morphine. Paola sees the needle closes her eyes tightly and balls up her fist.
  • On the second storyboard sheet, you see paramedic 1 insert the needle into her arm. Paramedics 1 tells her she'll feel much better. she closes her eyes and slightly smiles and lightly passes out in a euphoric state. Paola later wakes up in a hospital bed and starts gaining consciousness. She hears her mom yelling with the doctor about the morphine they gave her and the medication they're putting her on.
  • On the 3rd storyboard sheet, you see Paola slipping in and out of consciousness while the doctor explains that she'll prescribe feta.
  • On our 4th storyboard sheet, Paola comes out of holy cross hospital being wheeled by a nurse with her mom beside her, on their way to the car. Paola and her mom are in the car adjusting and putting on their seat belts. Mom brings up that she doesn't feel comfortable with her taking that addictive medication. Paola brushes her off and tells her to change the subject.
  • On the 5th storyboard sheet, you see Paola in her bed slowly waking up, looking at the pill bottle on her bedside table. Zoom on the pill bottle and the instructions on dosage. Paola stares at it and takes two, she smiles and lays her head back down. Then you see Paola in the bathroom taking more pills and doesn't look put together. You then see a 360-shot of Paola sitting at her dining room table as the decorations behind her, change from Halloween, Thanksgiving, to Christmas. Then you see Paola wake up and open a pill bottle.
  • on the 6th storyboard sheet, you see The eye view of the empty pill bottle. Paola frantically looks around in distress. Mom overhears and runs to the room. You see the back and forth arguing about the circumstances and Paola's actions. Paola's mom slams the door angrily and walks out. Paola then sees an ad on her phone for pills.
  •  On the 7th storyboard sheet, you see Paola wide-eyed as she sweats and looks ill (withdraw). She texts the dealer back and asks if he has fetynal. Paola steals $40 from her mom's purse. The dealer messages her to meet at a park, she agrees. Paola enters the car and they discuss the arrangement, he hands her the drugs and she gives him the money.
  • On the 8th storyboard sheet, you see the dealer tell Paola to stay safe, next scene is a birds-eye shot of Pola in her bed taking the bag and spilling the powder onto a tray. She lines it up snorts it and smiles, exhales with relief. Paola then passes out choking on her vomit and seizing as she lays on her back. Paola's mom calls out to her saying she's coming in. Over-the-shoulder shot of Paola's mom coming in. She walks into the horrific sight of her daughter (ODing) with vomit on her body, she screams.
