Production Blog: Last minute shoots
Last-minute shoots
We started editing already. Yet of course we had to shoot some fillers. Thankfully there wasn't a lot to film. Just small things yet it was still out of the way. We filmed our actor Paola with a bloody arm and in somewhat a pool of blood. We did a track of her arm with the blood on it. The reason for this is that we needed more clips. For our monolog scene, we needed more images. We originally were just going to do some type of sub-titles. Which would be placed on a black screen. Yet that seemed boring and kind of bland in my opinion. Just a black screen with white subtitles and a voice... Therefore we used the scene to pretty much add something more to it. We used a mixture of black-cut scenes of that blood and gore. Which essentially transcended this into more of a psychological thriller. An ominous black screen just a whole lot of nothingness. Then transitions into a scary image or a flashback of a good relationship. It shows and exaggerates the horror and really ties the little speaking part together. Hence why we had to shoot more. We wanted to give the movie more depth. We also didn't want our audience to think we got lazy either. I felt that if we lacked some type of visual stimulation it could just ruin all the work we already put into it.
