Production Blog: General Decision

We're up against some challenges with this one. Ezekiel Moralez, the one we've chosen to do it with, has a very busy life with work and other activities. Paola is also on a tight timetable. We couldn't start shooting on any of those days over the weekend, which was the 7th and 8th, because some of us had jobs and were distracted. Paola will be out of town for a wedding this coming weekend, the 13th and 14th. We're hoping to shoot on the 20th and 21st of this month. If it turns out to be too far away, we will have to shoot on weekdays. We're always planning on doing it at Paola's place, but Zeke's house is still a choice if anything unexpected arises. The kitchen will be the setting for the majority of our film. Both of our homes have an open kitchen, which makes filming even easier. If more issues emerge as a result of our actors' unavailability, we might need to shift the leads. We had other people in mind who we thought might do a good job in that situation. It simply comes down to the fact that we are closer to Zeke individually than all of the other options. Even so, our friend Diego is able to serve as a kind of back-up in case something goes wrong. We ultimately decided to use iMovie on my Macbook. I put together a video and photo collage of myself and my boyfriend. After using both editing programs, I've concluded that iMovie was the most user-friendly. Since Paola doesn't own a Macbook, I will have to take over the editing directory. We'll work out a day for her to come over and assist me with the editing. We've decided that Paola will act in it because she knows how we want our film to be represented since she generally came up with the concept. During shooting, she will primarily take over the directing role.
