My Editing Blog
Everything overall was kind of tough. We only had 30 seconds. I took over 30 clips of my actors just skating. I've edited before so this platform wasn't new. The platform I used to edit was Clipchamp. Overall I like how smooth the program is for me personally and makes editing easier in my opinion. I've worked on my interview with my partner and I was our main editor. For editing I liked adding effects, therefore, I enjoy it. It wasn't a long process at all. It was more of just me thinking about what I wanted to do. I've gotten a better feel for editing overall. I'm confident to say I'm good at adding effects and I even was able to help my friend out edit her video. The most time-consuming thing about it was pretty much is looking through the clips and seeing which ones fit the best and run the smoothest. I didn't really use any transitions because I was looking for a more cut up look. I added some filters to make my Video film look more retro and I also made sure that my fish lens was on key. The filter I used was, "Indoors" yet I didn't get the full 90's vibe I wanted. Yet for my first clip, I used a VCR filter. While editing I was going for a "Mid90s" look. Like a more rough type of editing with some smooth turns. I also didn't really want a polished commercial I wanted something with the charter. Overall, when editing this commercial it has difficulties. Yet it came out great and I'm glad about the way it came out. Also editing this commercial was very fun and I would do it again.
