Commercial Conventions

Commercial Conventions

I will be filming a skating commercial. Predominately the shoe vans. My skate commercials will be highlighting the shoes and also other clothes involved. Vans was created on March, 16th 1966. Vans revolutionized skating and their logo blew up in ‘77. We see it even now in 2020. Personally, vans were the first shoe I skated in. I still skate vans to this day. In these commercials, we see usually skaters in skate parks doing tricks. Sweaty and they usually have a beat-up ascetic. The type of clothes we see is streetwear. Basic T-shirts mostly jeans. Usually dickies and other works of basic clothes are worn rather than active or workout wear. Vans known logo “Off the wall” is usually seen on their mechanized. Some angles we usually see features are as follows. Close-ups, tilted, low angles, knee angles, and low angles. Some props would be a skateboard, sometimes knee pads, a helmet, and the vans. You always see some type of known skater in these commercials. Which shoes other skaters it’s a well-skated shoe and easy to do tricks it. When it comes to scripts we don’t really see any words. More of some type of rock music. Rather than people speaking. Some common noises are the grinding of the board. Also, we see the sounds the board makes. We also sometimes hear the sound of the wheels too.
