Research

Research  The song we will be using is "Violent Crimes" by Kanye West. This song is off the album "Ye". Which was realized on June 1, 2018. The cover was very hot because Kanye recently came out into the press about him being bipolar. So the album showcases the sentence, "I hate being bipolar it's awesome." He's afraid of her losing her overall innocents as they confront the brutal reality of the world. Kanye alludes to the over-sexualization of ladies, particularly those interiors in the entertainment industry. He wishes that when his girls develop up they’ll remain absent from the pastimes men sexualize. So we are basing our main charter as she faces the realities of growing. Kanye shows some mindfulness in this melody about poisonous relations among people. In his own past, he has acted like different men he portrays first and foremost. They are, "savage, monstrous, or sexually manipulative". He envisions himself shielding his little ...

Intro Blog

Intro Blog        M y project will be a duo. I'm working with one of my previous partners. I've chosen Paola Dorazio for this project for various reasons. The most important reason is we work super well together. Also, she lives close so it makes it easier for filming and such. We did the interviewer video two projects ao which came out good. She also helps me plan out stuff more efficiently. For our music video, we have both decided on a Kanye West song. We are using the clean version of, "Violent Crimes". Our video is pretty much going to relate to the deeper message within the song. Kanye talks about his daughter essentially growing up. So we really want to show the growth of this character within our music video. This  communicates   uneasiness   around  Kanye’s little  girls   developing and her growing  up. We feel this song is a good fit because we can portray it in a lot of different ways. We also can mold this characte...

Commercial Creative Critical Reflection

Image
Creative Critical Reflection 1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?  The main convention is the shoes we usually see skaters within the commercial. My social group is a skater. We also see people within vans within simple streetwear.  The social issue vans are facing is being eco-friendly. They used green sole operations. Which overall helps stop climate change and triumph pollution. Also, the vans create a welcoming community for all. Overall vans effects are very universal within their products and how they're made. 2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?  My product engages a younger generation. No just skateboarders but overall everyone that wears shoes. My commercial would most likely be distributed with online ads. More specifically on a platform such as youtube. Overall through apps like this, they store data so the ads are more selective s...

Commercial

My commercial is on vans. My commercial is here to overall show vans. It was a skating video to show. My actors wore vans and showed them skating in it. They are skating shoes and it highlights the overall brand. Our shoes are shown throughout the video. We see these shoes in action. While skating through we see a closeup of the shoe. While some tricks were shown the shoe's performance was also there. We also see the shoes when my actors were skating. Vans essentially help these skaters become better. Overall is why I made this commercial. There are a few aspects I could work on but overall the main vans were shown. We see this brand overall bring these skaters together. Even with two different styles and two different skaters. By filming predominantly low angle pans it creates an idea. My viewer gets to see the Vans up close and personal. They also see how well they are skated in. These pans used also makes the person feel like they are there. Especially within the last scene. W...
